Tony Nominee Mulheren Joins Angela Lansbury and Marian Seldes in Deuce

The cast and creative team have been finalized for the Broadway production of Terrence McNally's Deuce, which begins previews on April 11 at the Music Box Theatre, starring four-time Tony Award winner Angela Lansbury and Tony winner Marian Seldes. Directed by Michael Blakemore, the production will open May 6 and play a strictly limited engagement of 18 weeks.

In addition to the two leading ladies, Deuce will feature Tony nominee Michael Mulheren Kiss Me Kate directed by Blakemore, La Cage aux Folles, The Boy From Oz, Titanic, On the Waterfront, Brian Haley a stand-up comedian whose movie credits include Little Giants, The Man Who Wasn't There and The Departed and Joanna P. Adler Obie Award winner for Boys in the Basement, The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, Lydie Breeze.

In Deuce, Lansbury plays Leona Mullen and Seldes is Midge Barker, two former doubles tennis legends reunited at a championship tournament. As they watch a singles match grow increasingly heated, the two women reminisce on the sidelines, remembering past triumphs and unearthing forgotten truths.

The production team for Deuce includes Peter J. Davison set design, Ann Roth costume design, Mark Henderson lighting design, Paul Charlier sound design and Sven Ortel video and projection design.

Deuce will be produced on Broadway by Scott Rudin, Stuart Thompson, Maberry Theatricals, The Shubert Organization, Roger Berlind, Debra Black, Bob Boyett, Susan Dietz and Daryl Roth.
